The Pace Never Settles
On AI hype, and the stress of never feeling done.
Software hype no longer comes in cycles.
It just keeps going.
More tools, models, frameworks, best practices and now AI agents -
not replacing each other, but constantly piling up.
AI Agents promise leverage.
But they also expand the surface area of what you’re supposed to understand.
The problem isn’t that I can’t learn fast enough.
It’s that learning doesn’t lead to a sense of completion.
By the time you understand one agent setup,
three new patterns have appeared - each claiming urgency.
This creates a constant tension:
Is this worth learning now -
or will it expire before it settles?
At some point, this constant acceleration stops being information
and turns into noise - for a brain and nervous system that weren’t built for it.
What’s exhausting isn’t even the change.
It’s the expectation that you should track all of it.
Maybe the real skill isn’t keeping up anymore.
Maybe it’s deciding what you’re allowed to ignore.

This is a much needed reminder! You're absolutely correct. Lot of people often get confused about what to learn and what not. Especially, with the rise of ai tools and generating different kind of tools every day.
In my opinion learning with purpose matters more than chasing every new trend.
